[c=#2dba69]The Erdos Fragments - Part 2
The Unanswered Letter[/c]

[c=#a8c8e8]I wrote so many letters that never had a recipient. And yet, I never stopped writing.[/c]

I've often wondered whether it was better to disappear completely, or to leave behind a doubt.
I chose the shadow that leaves a trace.

Stones don't speak the way one speaks to the living. They say nothing clear - only murmurs, sensations. A particular cold beneath the hand. And sometimes, a suspended note that no ordinary ear recognizes.

It was with my bone flute that I began to understand these notes. Not to invent them: to recover them. Each grave seems to carry, buried somewhere, a sequence that matches it - one it has long waited to hear played again.

I never managed to hear it in full. Only fragments. But I sealed them carefully into the lost scrolls you're beginning to understand.

What you consumed was not a mere experience. It was a trace, a footstep of another that you now carry with you.
If you feel a slight tension, that's normal. It's the bond stretching between you and what once was.

Keep going. If you find another fragment, consume it. The thread leads somewhere - I never knew where it ended.
